1. Introduction

 

These Terms and Conditions govern your stay at Humu Care Short-Let. By booking or occupying the property, you agree to adhere to these Terms. Please read them carefully before making a reservation.

 

2. Booking Policy

 

• Reservation Confirmation: A booking is confirmed once full payment has been received, and a confirmation email or receipt has been issued.

• Guests must submit evidence (e.g., photos or videos) explaining why they are uncomfortable staying. Refund requests without valid evidence will not be processed.

 

6. Property Use

 

• Occupancy: The property is strictly for 4–6 occupants, as specified in the booking. Overcrowding is prohibited.

• Prohibited Activities:

• Smoking

• Pets (unless pre-approved)

• Illegal activities

• Parties or events without prior approval

• Care for Property: Guests are expected to treat the property with respect and report damages immediately. Any damages caused during the stay will be deducted from the security deposit or billed separately.

 

7. House Rules

 

• Maintain cleanliness and dispose of waste in the designated bins.

• Noise levels must be kept to a minimum, especially during quiet hours (10 PM – 7 AM).

• Follow all local laws and building regulations.

 

8. Liability

 

• Guest Liability:

• Guests are responsible for any loss or damage caused to the property or its contents during their stay.

• If theft, loss, or missing items are reported, the value of the items will be deducted from the guest’s security deposit.

• Host Liability:

• While all reasonable efforts are made to ensure the property is safe and functional, the host will not be held responsible for:

• Injury, illness, or loss of belongings during the stay.

• Unforeseen events like utility outages or acts of nature beyond the host’s control.

 

9. Security and Privacy

 

• Guests must ensure all doors and windows are locked when leaving the property.

• Personal information collected during booking will be handled in accordance with our privacy policy and will not be shared without consent.

 

10. Reporting Issues

 

• Guests must report any issues with the apartment to the host immediately. Failure to report problems during the stay may result in the forfeiture of any claims for compensation or refunds.

 

11. Breach of Terms

 

Failure to comply with these Terms may result in immediate termination of the rental agreement, forfeiture of the security deposit, and/or additional fees.

 

12. Governing Law

 

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes will be resolved in UK courts.
